Rich Carpenter | I have never taken a workshop before, and I was a little leery that it might turn out to be a bunch of seedy guys ogling young models. Although the model was young and attractive, the pace of the class, and Michael’s instruction made me feel at ease. Your obvious interest in assuring that the program was valid instruction was reassuring. |
Lola Gets | I had a fantastic time at one of the workshops at TYE Studios. The staff there is not only extremely talented and knowledgeable, but also very nice and attentive to one's needs. Not to mention that all the equipment they have makes it a dream's playground for photographers. Can't wait to comeback to the studio! |
Ted Waters | I want to thank you both again for a wonderful experience at TYE Studios for the Advanced Lighting Workshop. All I can say is "Wow"! Your facilities are state of the art: cutting-edge lighting and computer hardware, spectacular shooting areas and a knowledgeable, gracious staff. You both made my first photography workshop very memorable and I look forward to attending more of your workshops and/or one-on-one sessions in the near future. |
Javier I Sanchez | Hey guys, thanks again for a mind-opening weekend workshop. Warning, this place is addictive," reads the sign above the entrance to TYE studios. At first I thought it was cute and amusing, but 10 or so workshops later, I accept it as an absolute fact. I realized something the more often I come, spend time there and talk to the staff - the better I am able to retain information, and the more value I get out of each workshop. The more I learn, the better my questions get, which lead to more learning and more and better questions - and at TYE the learning spiral doesn't seem to end. Fortunately, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and equally important, always willing to answer any question you can possibly throw at them. Absolutely no "industry secrets" are kept here. Be sure to leave any ego at the door - if you think you know better, well... take a look at the work on their walls and you may want to rethink your position If you love to learn, and you want to take your photography and lighting skills to the next level, this is the place to do it |
David A. Engerman | The studio is beautiful and your southern hospitality was appreciated. I have found your advice to be very helpful and look forward to putting it to practical use very soon. |
Lois Allen | I had such an incredible time learning to shoot in a professional environment and the girls were so much fun to work with |
Kelly Marie Szabo | I can't say enough about TYE Studios. This is definitely the best studio around. I am amazed by the caliber of talent and the staff that the studio has. The studio space has everything you you can imagine and even more. It is very clean and professional environment. There are two large dressing rooms for the models and make up artists. Plenty of hanging space for wardrobe and large counter space for your hair and make up supplies. This studio is a one stop shop: photographers, lighting, backdrops, wardrobe stylists, hair stylists, make up artists and models. If you are starting out as a model or photographer they offer outstanding workshops. You will leave there feeling like a pro. |
Justin Rosenburg | Let me just say that I had a BLAST(at the workshop) and I felt that I got MUCH MORE than my monies worth. I had never done anything like that before, and I was completely out of my element . . . and I loved EVERY minute of it (whether I was shooting, watching lights be repositioned, or just watching someone else shoot), and I can't wait to do it all again :)Just wanted to say thanks to all of you at TYE for helping me "See the Light" |
Joshua Goodstein | I wanted to thank you for wonderful experience this morning. I had a great time and really enjoyed everything. Working with Andre was awesome. It's like talking and learning on a whole new level. |
Jessica Savidge | Just wanted to say thank you for last night! I had a great time, and learned so much. I think just being in the same room as Andre makes me feel like a better photographer...(that is me desperartly hoping that some of his knowledge rubs off merely by proximity. LOL). He is an excellent teacher, and I'm so glad to have the opportunity to learn from him. |
Greg Nelson | Regardless of your craft, whether a painter, scientist, attorney or photographer, one thing is always true - if you want to be the best |
Diane Schafer | I had the most amazing photography experience sponsored by TYE Studios. From sunrise to sunset we never stopped shooting, learning, experiencing, and having a blast while we did it all. TYE Studios lives up to their name when they let us shoot “Through Your Eyes", as each photographer found their own unique personal style and angle. Having the opportunity to use TYE's high end pro lighting equipment on the beach and in the ocean brought our images up to a high quality level. Andre Rowe and Donna Peplin were there to guide and help (and they did all the 'grunt' work of setting up the heavy duty lighting equipment) and yet gave us "free reign' to shoot at will and set the models up for each of our shots. You sure can't beat the price anywhere for the amount of shoot time, beautiful models, and fun times we all had for 2 days... including enjoying "Margarita-ville" by night. |
Cheila Garcia | I had a very nice experience at TYE Studios and, again, Marcus King (instructor) is an outstanding professional. His classes are extremely enjoyable and he cares enough to go the extra mile, spending time and effort to not only make learning a joy, but to treat students as an individual with specific needs. |
Sonja Garnitschnig | Being just a hobby photographer with limited knowledge and equipped with only a basic camera I doubted my decision on signing up for the professional lighting class. Today I could not be happier that I did walk in to TYE Studios. I have a dream now to become a professional photographer. |
Ray Lopez | For me, being introduced to TYE and all you guys was one of the great things of 2009. I appreciate all your tips, humor and insight and I’ve learned so much from you all. |
